Refined large temple clock. The clock features a structure in white statuary marble, decorated with Belgian black marble columns and partitions in finely gilded lost-wax cast bronze. The decorations recall the classical style, with small vases, floral, geometric, phytomorphic and figurative motifs. The dial is hinged and has Arabic numerals, with gilded bronze hands and the signature "Lépine Paris", attributable to the watchmaker. The original and working mechanism is equipped with a silk thread suspension and a weekly winding, which strikes the hours and half hours. It is a clock of great taste and refinement, capable of elegantly furnishing any environment. French manufacture of the Directory period, around the end of the 18th century.
