PAIR OF NAPOLEON III CHANDELIERS MID-19TH CENTURY
Period: Second half of the 19th century
Price:
€ 7.000
Elegant pair of nine-light chandeliers, with refined details and gilded bronze chains. The band features palmettes, a characteristic typical of the First Empire period, while the floral decorations, enriched with cornucopias and anthropomorphic figures, add an extra touch of elegance. In the lower part, below the band, the chandeliers are adorned with almond-shaped crystals and a turned Volterra alabaster cup. Additional lamps were later inserted inside the cup, increasing the overall brightness. Below the lights, the pendant crystals offer a further touch of refinement. Finally, the upper part is decorated with bronze floral motifs and a pinecone, also present as the termination of the chandelier. This is an extremely elegant pair of chandeliers, capable of enriching any environment with taste and refinement. Tuscan manufacture, from the Napoleon III period, to be ascribed to around the mid-19th century.
