Splendid pair of embossed brass alms dishes. The brim is flat, adorned with a thin engraved stylized decoration, while the umbo (central boss) is raised and decorated with an oblique engraved gadrooning motif. Furthermore, the umbo is surrounded by a band with an inscription in alphabetic characters. These elegant dishes were used as alms dishes during functions, being held out for the collection of offerings. Of great taste and antiquity, these objects are capable of furnishing any environment with elegance and history. German manufacture from the first half of the 17th century.
