PAIR OF SILVER CHERUBS SECOND HALF 19TH CENTURY
Period: Second half of the 19th century
Price: € 1.200
Elegant pair of silver cherubs, intent on dancing while playing their respective musical instruments: one with the guitar and the other with the trumpet. The cherubs stand on two ideal pedestals, characterized by an inverted Corinthian capital. The mastery in the creation of the sculptures and in the use of silver is evident, giving them a realistic and valuable appearance. These objects are able to enrich any environment with taste and class. Coming from the Neapolitan manufacture, they can probably be attributed to the Neapolitan sculptor Avolio, dating back to the second half of the 19th century. Measurements: H x W x D 15 x 5 x 5cm
