PAIR OF GILDED WOOD AND IRON WALL LIGHTS LATE 18TH CENTURY
Period: Second half of the 18th century
Price: € 1.800
Measures H x L x P
Splendid pair of 6-light sconces, made of gilded iron and carved and gilded wood. The sconces feature a hand-wrought and forged wrought iron rosette to be fixed to the wall, which supports the arms. The rosette and arms of the sconces are finely decorated in a floral style that evokes intertwined grapevines. These elegant wall lights were typical of late 18th century Tuscan villas, and are still of great value and refinement today, and able to give a touch of class and antiquity to the environment in which they are placed. The sconces are already wired and in excellent conservation condition. Tuscan manufacture of the late 18th century. Measurements: H x W x D 41 x 44 x 34cm
